s.a.l.t. sisters and Soup of Success Collaboration

By October 31, 20192 Comments

(Doesn’t this remind you of the Brady Bunch opening sequence?)

Instead of 3 girls with hair of gold and 3 mischievous boys, the Soup of Success “Bunch” is: Tuscan Bean, Spicy Tortilla, Farmhouse Chicken Noodle, Sun-Dried Tomato Vegetable, Hearty Potato and Coconut Curry.

“The community has been asking for healthy soup mixes for a while now and we are thrilled to be able to respond to that request.” stated Betsy Ayrea, Director of Soup of Success.

For the past year, Charmane Andrews Skillen, founder and CEO of Goshen based s.a.l.t. sisters, a healthy lifestyle company, has been mentoring Soup Of Success staff on clean-eating practices. We researched midwest sources for ingredients and their processing methods, ordered multiple samples to make sure that they measured up to our standards, and tested recipe after recipe. After a year of work, we are so proud to bring you SIX brand new, healthy, clean-eating soup mixes!  Each soup features seasoning blends from s.a.l.t. sisters, is all natural, and is absolutely delicious.

Charmane shared with us, “I am a big believer in the concept of ‘Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish, and he will eat for a lifetime.’ I believe in giving women the opportunity to receive skills that they need to move their lives forward themselves. As a mom of four daughters, I am passionate about always wanting to empower them into their full potential. I wanted to support Soup of Success because they truly uplift women and give them the opportunity to improve their own lives in ways that are meaningful to them.  When someone learns to do something themselves, they then are given the ability to find their own strengths. Every person has the right to find that inner strength. I think that it is important for people to give in ways that focus on their strengths. This is one way that I can use my passions and talents in giving back to the community.”

The six new soup mixes make 6 servings of soup and retail for $7.00 per bag. Proceeds from Soup of Success product sales are returned into the program to pay training stipends for the women in the program. Soup Of Success is a job and life skills training program for women based out of Elkhart County, Indiana.

I am so excited to try these! Will you still be carrying your other soup mixes as well, or will these be replacing them?
